haipro

HaiPro is a web-based tool for reporting patient safety incidents. HaiPro is used in over 200 social service and health care organizations of various sizes: from small health care centers to entire hospital districts.

The HaiPro reporting system supports the development of procedures within the organization.

Reporting is systematic and easy, which ensures that the users can learn from the information gathered about safety incidents. The HaiPro tool provides an indication of the sufficiency of current preventive procedures, and it can also be used to assess the effect of new measures. This overview is especially useful for supporting decision making within the top-level management.

Anonymous and voluntary input ensures confidential reporting and processing of the safety incidents. The HaiPro method does not seek to blame.

HaiPro reporting procedure and tool was developed at VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) in co-operation with health care units, and it was funded by Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, National Agency for Medicine, and VTT.

Awanic Ltd is in charge of developing and maintaining the HaiPro system.
